How Ethereum Dice Works
Ethereum dice uses the same provably fair system as bitcoin dice: a hashed server seed, your client seed, and a nonce generate every roll. ETH only changes the deposit and withdrawal rail; the game math and the 1% house edge are identical.
Every dice site on our list uses the same seed-pair system regardless of which coin funds your balance. Before you bet, the site publishes a SHA-256 hash of its server seed. You supply (or accept) a client seed, and each bet increments a nonce. Those three inputs run through HMAC-SHA512 to produce a roll number between 0 and 99.99, and nothing about that pipeline knows or cares that your balance is denominated in ETH.
That means two things in practice. First, the odds are identical to the bitcoin version of the same game: a 1% house edge, so a 49.50% win chance pays 2x, a 9.90% win chance pays 10x, and so on. Switching coins never buys you better math. Second, every roll remains independently checkable. The only ETH-specific detail worth knowing is that your on-site balance is a database entry, not an on-chain wallet. Rolls do not touch the Ethereum network, which is why you can fire hundreds of bets per minute on auto-bet without paying gas per roll. Gas applies only at the edges: once when you deposit, once when you withdraw.
Depositing ETH for Dice

A few practical points that save real money and support tickets:
- Mainnet only, unless the cashier says otherwise. Most dice sites credit ETH sent on Ethereum mainnet. Here is the unit math at a reference price of $3,000 per ETH (adjust proportionally for the live price):

At a 1% house edge, expected loss is 1% of total turnover. Betting 0.001 ETH per roll at 49.50% win chance, a 500-roll session turns over 0.5 ETH and carries an expected loss of about 0.005 ETH, roughly $15. That is the honest baseline: no bet-size pattern changes it, only variance around it.
The ETH-specific wrinkle is volatility. Your bankroll is priced in a coin that can move 5% in a day, so a break-even session at the table can still end up worth less in dollars. Why ETH Is the Default Second Coin for Dice
