Each bet generates a number between 0.00 and 100.00 from your seed pair and nonce. You choose roll over or roll under and a target; the payout is always 99 divided by your win chance, which fixes the edge at 1%.
Stake's dice is the simplest game on the site and the most transparent. The interface is a slider: pick a win chance from 0.01% to 98%, choose roll over or roll under, and the payout updates as 99 divided by chance. Set 49.50% under and you win when the roll lands below 49.50 for a 2.00x payout; flip to roll over 50.50 and the odds are identical. The roll itself is a two decimal number derived from HMAC-SHA256 over your server seed, client seed, and an incrementing nonce, so every result is verifiable after seed rotation.
The payout formula is the whole strategic landscape. Return to player is chance times payout = chance x 99 / chance = 99% everywhere, meaning the house keeps 1% of expected turnover at every slider position. There is no clever corner of the slider; 0.01% at 9,900x and 98% at 1.0102x are the same bet wearing different variance.

Match the slider to your bankroll's streak tolerance. At 49.50% a 10 loss run hits about once per 927 bets; at 10% chance, nine losses in ten bets is normal. Higher chance means gentler streaks and slower, steadier bleed.

How Do You Run Paroli or Flat Betting on Stake?
Flat: leave both adjustment fields at 0% and set stops; the default panel is already a flat betting machine. Paroli: on win increase by 100%, on loss reset, and use the strategy editor to bank after three straight wins.
Flat betting is Stake auto-bet's native state and needs three entries: bet size (0.5% to 2% of your session roll), number of bets, and both stop conditions. On loss and on win adjustments stay at zero. At 49.50% and a 10 unit stake across 1,000 rolls, expected cost is 100 units with a standard deviation near 316; about a third of such sessions end positive. Paroli inverts martingale's fields: on win increase by 100%, on loss reset to base. That produces an unlimited ladder, which is not what you want; the classic system banks after three consecutive wins (12.13% of rounds at 49.50%, netting +7 units per completed ladder). Both configurations obey the same accounting: expected loss equals 1% of whatever total the session wagers, under every auto-bet configuration Stake offers. Flat wagers the least for a given number of rolls, paroli concentrates stakes into rounds that are already ahead, and martingale concentrates them into rounds that are already behind. What Can the Stake Strategy Editor Do?

Treat the editor as a discipline tool, not an edge tool. Its real value is executing your depth caps and resets at roll speed where manual play would improvise. Does Rakeback Change Stake Dice Math?
Rakeback and VIP rewards return a slice of the house edge, cutting the effective edge below 1% for high volume players. It softens the bleed on wagering you would do anyway; it does not flip expected value positive.

Every row stays negative. The two legitimate takeaways: first, if you are going to wager a given volume anyway, claiming every available reward strictly reduces your cost, so leaving rakeback unclaimed is simply donating.
